The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house that has a combined gross family income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and check here R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Document read more numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students 2025 nsfas application who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
